Two Chairs

The snow is falling. 

I saw two chairs covered in white sitting by the unused fire ring and all I could think of was how I wish you were there with me. As I looked across the freshly fallen white I saw you ready to adventure through the snow. I saw the scarf wrapped around your neck, I saw the alpaca hat on your head, and I saw your bright smile melting away the snow.

I wish so bad you were here today! There is so much to do! There are snow angels, forts, snowmen, igloos, and cups of hot chocolate to be made! 

My only hope is that you are able to enjoy a bit of the snow where you are… keep strong, and know I’m thinking of you… constantly! 

Enough

Sometimes I don’t write enough to believe that I’ve written enough. 

I stay up late and wish that I could write you by my side. I wish that as our hearts could beat in each other’s presence, not just to the same rhythm. I wish you could be here forever, but alas, I write and you are still a distant figure who I miss greatly. 

Thus, I do not feel as if I have written enough.
